The world of J.Kim draws from many disparate sources, namely from designer Jenia Kim's rich Koryo-Saram heritage. Jenia grew up in Tashkent, Uzbekistan and eventually moved with her family to Moscow. It was here that she studied first at an art school and then at the Carl Faberge Moscow College of Decorative and Applied Arts, leading to the founding of the brand in 2014.

Each collection begins with a theme, always referencing Korean-Uzbek culture. These historical and traditional references are brought into a contemporary light, creating styles that are at once effortless to wear and complex in their construction.
